On 2nd February 2017, testing and certification arm of NCML, CommGrade inaugurated its third largest state-of-the-art Regional Laboratory at Mumbai, Maharashtra. The lab was inaugurated by Sanjay Kaul, MD and CEO, NCML. Michael Menezes, Mukund S. Annigeri, Ashok Dhamankar and Ganesh Ramamurthi of NCML graced the occasion. Scientifically designed and created in an independent building admeasuring 8000 Sft at Navi Mumbai, it will be a pivot for the Western region Testing and Inspection business.
The laboratory has been set-up to provide services primarily to the Fruit, Vegetable and Oil Seeds Exporters and to fulfill other testing needs of various Food Business Operators in the western region. Srinivas Prathipati who has been with NCML-CommGrade since inception will spearhead the new initiative in Mumbai.
The lab shall be accredited by NABL and it will seek recognition from FSSAI and APEDA. NCML-CommGrade presently is managing MPEDA Laboratory on the West Coast with active agro-testing and inspection services being rendered at Kandla, Mundra, Indore and Unjha.
